Sand 9 Raised $8.0 Million In Series A Funding — The wireless device technology developer based in Boston , Ma., received $8 million in Series A funding led by Flybridge Capital Partners.

Atomic Moguls Raised $1.0 Million In VC Funding — Fantasy sports-focused company based in Seattle , raised $1 million in venture funding from Second Avenue Partners, according to a local report.

ON24 Raised $8.0 Million — “Green” Webcasting company based in San Francisco, secured $8 million in funding from an undisclosed investor. The business’s customers include CMP, IDG, IBM, Cisco, HP and Reuters, the parent company of PE Week Wire.

NeoSaej Raised $7.0 Million In VC Funding — Operator of, secured $7 million in funding to develop the site. The round was led by an undisclosed firm but had participation from Stata Venture Partners II and NeoNet LLC. The Burlington, Mass.-based online auction marketing company serving the banking industry has raised $10.5 million in venture funding to date.

YouSendIt Raised $14.0 Million In Series A Funding — Campbell, Calif.-based operator of a file sharing Web site, received $14 million in Series C venture funding from new investor Emergence Capital and existing investors Sigma Partners, Alloy Ventures, Sevin Rosen Funds and Cambrian Ventures.

TrustE Raised Undisclosed Amount — San Francisco-based Internet private technology company, secured an undisclosed amount of funding from Accel Partners, marking the firm’s first private investment and move from non-profit status.

Cognition Technologies $2.7 Million — The Culver City, Calif.-based search engine company, secured $2.7 million from Draper Associates and Fingerhut Ventures and the company’s CEO Scott Jarus.

BlogHer $5.0 Million In Series A — Women’s blog network based in New York, received $5 million in Series B funding from Peacock Equity, the investment arm of NBC Universal. The deal includes a partnership with NBC’s iVillage and saw participation from Venrock, a prior investor.

Slingpage Inc Raised $2.25 Million From Angel Investors — The Estero, Fla.-based social browsing service has plans to launch a larger fundraising effort.

Become Inc. Secured $8 Million In Series D — Mountain View, Calif.-based comparison shopping site operator, secured $8 million in Series D funding from European Founders Fund. Prior investors include TPG Growth.

Silicon Alley Media Raised Undisclosed Amount — The online publisher received an undisclosed amount of angel funding led by Kohlberg Ventures. Co-investors included Kenneth Lerer of the Huffington post, Dave Morgan of Tacoda and 24/7 Real Media, Gordon Crovitz formerly of the Wall Street Journal, Howard Lindzon of Wallstrip, founder Scott Kurnit, former AOL Time Warner SVP Richard Hanlon, and venture firms Pilot Group and IA Capital. The business is part of AlleyCorp.
