Sezmi Raised $50 Million Funding — Sezmi, a developer of set-top boxes that combine traditional television content with on-demand movies and Internet video, is raising up to $50 million in new Series C funding. Advanced Equities is serving as placement agent.

Tabula Digita Raised $7.57 Million In Series B — New York-based educational gaming company, has secured $6 million of a $7.57 million Series B round, according to a regulatory filing. Return backer Ascend Venture Group led the deal.

Social.FM Raised $5 Million — Sunnyvale, Calif.-based social music and music search startup, has shut down, according to GigaOm. The company launched in June 2005, and had raised $5 million from Norwest Venture Partners.

Koolanoo Group Raised $25 Million — Chinese Internet and new media investment firm, has raised $25 million in new VC funding. An undisclosed investor led the round, and was joined by return backer Giza Venture Capital.

SkyGrid Raised $11 Million In Series B — New York-based platform for news personalization, filtering and search, has raised $11 million in Series B funding. RRE Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers like Draper fisher Jurvetson and Esther Dyson.

Amobee Media Systems Raised Undisclosed Amount Strategic Funding — Israel-based developer of ad-serving solutions for mobile operators, has raised an undisclosed amount of strategic funding from Motorola and Cisco Systems. The round also included participation from return backers Telefonica, Vodafone, Accel Partners, Globespan Capital Partners and Seqauoia Capital.

YouLicense.com Raised Undisclosed Amount Of Series A — Online music licensing marketplace, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding from Israel’s Ofer Media. YouLicense.com has offices in Tel Aviv, London and New York.

Intelligent Beauty Raised $30.5 Million In Series B — El Segundo, Calif.-based provider of ecommerce technology and online marketing, has raised $30.5 million in Series B funding from Technology Crossover Ventures. This brings the firm’s total commitment up to around $43 million, in exchange for a minority ownership stake.
