Web 2.0 Summit: Al Gore: What Now?

Former Vice President Al Gore spoke at the Web 2.0 Summit as the final presenter.  He gave some inspirational comments regarding President-elect Obama and then proceeded to give his discourse on the state of the world’s environmental situation.  I’ve attached his speech below for your viewing pleasure.

For the second year in a row I attended the Web 2.0 Summit. Here is the official description of the conference:

Web Meets World

Defining just what Web 2.0 means still engenders much disagreement. Tim O’Reilly attempts to clarify just what we meant by Web 2.0, digging into what it means to view the Web as a platform and which applications fall squarely under its purview, and which do not. Monetization 2.0 by Zanox Web Services

I recently had the pleasure of attending the kick-off of Zanox’s Web Services initiative in Berlin.  Zanox is one of the largest affiliate networks in Europe and was founded by several good friends of mine who started the company on the Eastern part of Berlin.  The Company has come a long way since it was acquired by Axel Springer.  Their campus in Berlin reminded me of several incubators in California.
